  2. Thanks for the information Stocki, I think one needs lots of patience to do this as precisely as you have, I know it's worth it in the end for such a perfect result but I fear I'm a little too lazy :(

    1. Lots of people don't bother Linda...it just depends on what textile you are using and what you are making... :)x

  3. Hello Jill and welcome back to Blogland! We have missed you since the BBB post!! Thanks for the blocking info. I never used to block but always do now unless I'm working with acrylic - like you say, it doesn't seem to make a difference. On saying all that, I know I didn't block the squares I sent to you so sorry, sorry, sorry..... Next year I'll make sure I do!!! lol x

  4. Great tutorial Jill! You have stacks of pins....I always run short and then cut corners, I can see why your sunny spread squares were so neat!

I am feeling soooo much better today and have eaten properly this evening after no food for a couple of days....I'm such a foody so you know when I am sickening! As for the circulars they were just cheap ones, I've not had probs before, but this particular set seems to have a ridge between the metal and flex, not much cop really....as I prefer to knit even straight on circulars, I am tempted to invest in some gooduns!

Hope you're having a good week!

  6. Hi Jill. You make it sound so easy. I suppose you could use the same skill for tapestry? Knitting and tapestry are my main enthusiasm but I do love the things that can be made with crochet! I haven't really done crochet...only dabbled in it but I'm determined to be part of your BBB next year. I've accepted the challenge you posted on my blog....and....BOUGHT THE WOOL. How about that? Need to get the crochet hooks next? You can see I'm really on my way......?!! Joan

  9. Wow what a good tutorial. I have come to read you through Clicky Needles. I have only recently started "blocking" work, after many years of knitting, tapestry and now some crocheting, but it is certainly worth the time and effort. Thanks. dojo xx
